sds-i are supporting the GratiFeria project in Marbella, Spain,  by provding hosting and the Wordpress blog to promote the event - www.gratiferiamarbella.org.

The concept spread from South America and is an very encouraging movement to spread new views on how the world could be and should be.

GRATIFERIA:

.. is a cultural socio political economic movement for World Peace and Happiness of all beings.

It is a fair where everything is free. It is the only market where it is not necessary to look after your stall, the World's most successful Fair! and that opens the possibilities of developing humanity successfully without war or hunger.

A market where no one fills their pockets and no one goes empty-handed!

Zero profit. Commercialism zero.

The motto is "Bring whatever you want (or nothing) and get what you want (or nothing)."

We seed the economy of the New Era of sharing just like brothers of the Earth.

It goes beyond barter, as there is no sense of having to exchange something.

It is not an exchange. There is no money involved, or bonds, or barter, or record. So you can bring nothing or everything and you can take everything or nothing, you choose.

It is a space in time to heal the illusion of need.

No need to accumulate, there is for everyone!

Minimizing environmental impact, minimizing the demand for manufacturing and reducing the volume of waste we generate.

We leave the dependence of money, allowing us to work less and live more free.

We progress the intention of relating by cooperating instead of competing.

For a world free of money, free of borders, just free!

MATERIAL LIBERATION!

If it is to for fixing it is not for the Gratiferia it is for fixing.

If it is for washing it is not for Gratiferia it is for washing.

If it is for sewing it is not for Gratiferia is for sewing.

It encourages us to detach and lighten the burden of accumulated stuff.

It is important to the value of sharing. We strive to provide the things in the best way possible so those who receive them can feel how special they are. We can iron it, sew on a button, put it in cellophane, simply recycle and do not purchase, because everything we buy generates pollution and environmental impact, we can also re-use carrying bags so people can take what they like, we can also bring blankets, tables and racks, etc.. We can bring food to share.

On this I have to make some points:

Firstly, the idea was started as a way to create a world without hunger, without poverty, without exclusion, without environmental destruction. In this regard and given that we are used to eat animals which is the main cause of producing greenhouse gases, environmental destruction, hunger and deteriorating health (according to reports by UN, FAO, INTA, WHO) Gratiferia calls for vegan food to be shared which is compassionate and healthy.

When we organize or attend a Gratiferia it is good to think about how to add energy to the event so everybody can feel welcomed and moreover does not leave empty handed. Besides the material things, we can offer tea, make cookies, make souvenirs of the event, bring our own products, craft or services. The central point of the spirit of the Gratiferia is to transcend the concept of primary and family links and to take advantage of the event to open ourselves to others..

A Gratiferia is a gratis fair, it is a meeting where we bring good things in good condition and useable that we do not use or do not want to keep any longer. At Gratiferia these things will find new hands to take care of and use them.

Passing from hand to hand is through love.

Clothes, books, equipment, machines, tools, objects, ornaments, furniture, productions, food, art ... whatever you want ...
